- Solid blue: the unit is ready.
- Flashing blue: the waste drawer is full. Empty the drawer, press Reset, then press Cycle.
- Solid red: the cat sensor has detected your cat and the unit is waiting through its cycle delay.
- Flashing red: weight has been detected for too long. Check whether a cat is inside, remove extra weight, make sure the unit is on a firm level surface, and press Reset.
- Solid yellow: the unit is paused. Cycle or Reset should resume it.
- Flashing yellow: the bonnet has been removed or is not seated correctly.
- Yellow moving round-robin: the unit is running a clean or empty cycle.
- Yellow ping-pong: the pinch detector has activated.
- Red with flashing yellow: the globe may be jammed or overloaded.
- Red and blue alternating: the curtain sensors may need cleaning.

- Solid blue: ready for use.
- Flashing blue: waste drawer full.
- Solid yellow: incorrect globe positioning or a motor-gear issue.
- Slow flashing yellow: the clean cycle was interrupted.
- Fast flashing yellow: pinch condition detected.
- Solid red: cat sensor activated while the unit is ready.
- Flashing red: the cat sensor has been activated continuously.
- Yellow and red sequential flashing: possible obstruction or jam during clockwise rotation.
- Blue and red sequential flashing: possible obstruction or jam during counter-clockwise rotation.
- All three lights in position-fault combinations: the unit cannot find the dump position, home position, or both.
If the Litter-Robot 3 has a flashing blue drawer-full light, empty the drawer, make sure the liner is tucked under all tabs, clean the drawer full indicator sensors with a dry or slightly damp microfiber cloth, then reassemble and reset. Avoid ammonia-based cleaners around those sensors.

Litter-Robot lights can report drawer, sensor, motor, globe, power, app connection, and firmware conditions. They do not diagnose your cat’s urinary health from the color or smell of urine. If you notice blood, straining, repeated trips to the box, crying, sudden accidents, very small urine spots, or no urine output, treat that as a veterinary issue rather than a light-code problem.
