Found in a small notebook on the kitchen counter of a house in Charleston. Handwriting attributed to the householder. The cat is named Tilly.
Monday.
Slept. Considered the situation with the second cushion. Decided not to engage.Tuesday.
The food appeared, on time. I have not, in eleven years, missed a breakfast. The reliability is appreciated, in its way.Wednesday.
A delivery person came to the door. I observed from the third stair. I did not, in the end, intervene.Thursday.
The vacuum was deployed. The vacuum is still, to my knowledge, an unsolved problem. I retired to the bedroom for the duration. I have been retiring to the bedroom for the vacuum since 2014.Friday.
A small mouse, in the wall. I have, I think, made my interest known. The mouse has, I believe, taken this under advisement.Saturday.
A guest sat in my chair. The chair is, in my view, mine. The guest is, in my view, on probation. I sat on her bag.Sunday.
The person worked from the kitchen. I worked from the kitchen. We worked, in a manner of speaking, together.Notes for next week:
The second cushion remains incorrect. I will continue to take this under consideration.
The notebook is in the kitchen drawer in Charleston now. Tilly is on the second cushion. She is sixteen. She has the cushion. The cushion is incorrect, in her view.
It is, in every other view, exactly correct.
