What to do if your cat stole a piece
- If it was a tiny plain bite and your cat seems normal, monitor at home.
- If the piece was seasoned, greasy, or your cat ate a larger amount, watch for vomiting, diarrhea, drooling, thirst, or lethargy.
- Call your veterinarian if your cat has kidney disease, heart disease, pancreatitis, or a sensitive stomach.
- Get urgent help if your cat is choking, retching, or seems painful after swallowing a piece.
